Notable Physical Traits: He has one scar going across his cheek, another on his forehead, and more scars littered on his body- mainly on his feet, shins, hands, wrists, three slashes going across his arm and back, a gash across his chest, and a couple dangerously close to his throat. Another notable trait is the sheer paleness of his skin. Though heā€™s very pale compared to most Elezen, his hue is even more rare amongst his Duskwight brothers.
Physical Diseases/Disorders: Albinism (a congenital disorder characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes), Photophobia (abnormal intolerance to visual perception of light), and Nystagmus (involuntary eye movement that may result in reduced or limited vision)
When was this diagnosed and/or how did it happen?: Natural was born with albinism. The latter two disorders are caused because of his albinism.
Like a typical Elezen, Natural is very tall and thin with long limbs. However, many non-Elezen themselves tend to assume he's a Wildwood based on his pale complexion. His complexion, silver hair, and eye color are a direct result of albinism, a congenital disorder that he was born with.Pink eyes are unique enough on their own, but Natural's seem to be completely devoid of light. In dim places, they give off the illusion of a faint glow.His build is somewhat on the lean side due to his upbringing being primarily in the forest where he was forced to fend for himself. Most of his muscles are in his legs, some are in his abdominal area, and little to none on his upper body. A small diet has also left Natural to be a bit on the underweight side with traces of rib bones jetting between his chest and abdomen.Natural also has a large variety of scars littering his body. The most prominent scar is the slash on this left cheek left from a childhood incident. Several smaller scars are scattered through his hands, wrists, feet, and shins. Several more dangerous scars are very prominent on his neck and shoulders, and three large slashes go across his arm and back. He acquired a long scar going across his chest courtesy of his first encounter with Zenos yae Galvus. The most recent scar in his collection is one on his forehead he got during a duel with Elidibus in Zenos's body. This scar is mostly hidden by his fringeThe last unique physical feature that Natural possesses are his teeth and nails. During his time with the wolves, they remarked that the boy lacked necessary tools to hunt efficiently. To remedy this, he let his nails grow long and filed them into sharp claws. As he lost his baby teeth and new teeth grew in, he filed several of his front teeth into sharpened fangs. Usual Mood/Expression: Straight-faced for the most part. He isnā€™t terribly expressive unless heā€™s engaging in conversation. Most of the time he looks bored, but heā€™s usually just lost in thought or very tired.
Motivation: The feeling of being useful and wanted in a world that constantly abandoned him and saw him as a burden. His desire to make the world a better place are both selfish and selfless as he would gladly put his life on the line every day to see that the world can make it to a new, brighter day.
Disposition: Blank and typically void of emotion; especially any elevated emotion. His expressions only shine when in the company of dear friends that help him feel relaxed, where he can be seen sporting a gentle smile and occasionally chuckle at their antics.

Miscellaneous quirks: Because of the many years he spent living among wildlife (especially wolves) he adopted some canine behaviors including biting himself when he's itchy, sniffing unfamiliar objects, getting on all fours to stretch his body, sitting on all fours on the ground (as well as sitting on random furniture instead of chairs), and licking wounds. He's also extremely comfortable with nudity so in the comfort of his own home and inn rooms, he'll wander around and sleep naked. Luckily, he's outgrown most of these habits around people, but will still revert back to his biting and sniffing problems without realizing.

Raimondaux is a game hunter who makes his living selling meat and other useful parts of the animals he kills. His wife, Cevilia, is a fairly talented leatherworker who sells the crafts she makes from the hides her husband brings home.As a child, Natural always felt he had a good relationship with his parents. He spent most of his time with his mother while his father was out hunting. Unbeknownst to him, his father always held a little disdain towards his son, finding both his albinism and various quirks to be strange. When Natural's Echo awoke within him and he began understanding the beasts of the forest, he felt it was best to abandon him and start over. So it was that one night, Natural's father and then-pregnant mother left the sleeping Natural alone in the middle of the night with a trail of blood and meat for a predator to find him.As of now, he has yet to meet his younger brother.Partner: -

**__Other Important Relationships__**:Primary Mount: Kurama, the Kamuy of the Nine Tails. Some time after freeing Doma and Ala Mhigo from Imperial rule, Natural happened upon a bloody battlefield where hunters had finished laying claim to their evening's game. The sole survivor was a lone little fox kit. Natural took him in and allowed the fox to travel by his side and see the world. The fox regards Natural as a father and would lay his life on the line for him in a heartbeat.
After Natural managed to collect seven special wolves, their presence summoned the spirit of the Kamuy of Nine Tails who bestowed its power to Kurama. The fox now serves as Natural's faithful guardian and protector.
Primary Minion: Leafy, the Mandragora. Some time after Natural was abandoned, he came across a family of mandragoras. One among them happily approached Natural and spoke with him until they noticed the remainder of his family had disappeared. He explained to Natural that he always loved mankind, but his family erred on the side of caution for their own safety. Natural, who similarly was shunned by mankind thanks to his love for wildlife and nature, offered Leafy a chance to come along with him and his new-found family of wolves. The two have been inseparable ever since.
Harmonia: The elder duskwight who happened upon the young Natural by chance one afternoon while practicing his spells in the forest. He attempted to use Natural's gifts to control the primals, but ended up tempered instead.

Biography

It started in the depths of the Twelveswood. Two Duskwight Elezen, young and happily married, are expecting their first born.ā€œNaturelle if she is a girl. Naturaux if he is a boy. I want our child to have a unique name. One that means 'natural'. The greens will not accept us purely because of what we are... but I want our child's name to show them that he or she is just that. Natural.ā€Despite his namesake, the baby boy was anything but natural. Opposite of the grayed complexion of his parents, the babe resembled a porcelain doll with hair white as snow and skin nearly pale enough to match.Naturaux, who would be affectionately referred to as ā€œNaturalā€ by his mother, lived with his family for about five springs. Though these years were relatively peaceful, they did have their share of hardships. The young Duskwight witnessed first-hand the oppression his people received from their Wildwood cousins whenever they entered civilized settlements- especially Gridania. Much of their living was done within the Twelveswoodā€™s caves and forests, so the family often encountered danger in the form of beasts, treacherous weather, and bandits.Hardships aside, Natural adored living in nature- the settlements seemed too crowded and hostile for his tastes. Over time, heā€™d become drawn to the forestā€™s wildlife and attempted to befriend whatever friendly creature he could. Though it was a bit strange to his parents, they didnā€™t think too much about the childā€™s fascination.Naturalā€™s sixth spring was supposed to be a happy one. His mother had announced he was to expect a little brother or sister in the coming moons. The days were filled with much joy and excitement, until one afternoon when something extraordinary happened- Naturalā€™s vision was suddenly filled with thousands of stars. Strangely, his parents hadnā€™t seen what he had, and merely thought the boy was going too long without food or water. Though he wouldnā€™t know this until adulthood, that was the day Naturalā€™s Echo awoke.Soon after having the vision, Natural discovered something amazing when he next encountered a woodland creature; he could understand the animalā€™s tongue! At first, Natural thought the animal was very special in that it could speak like an Elezen could, but his parents couldnā€™t hear anything and scolded him for speaking nonsense. They would later come to realize that the child was not lying, and he began spending more time with whatever wildlife he could find and speak to. No matter how much his mother and father scolded him and assumed him insane for understanding non-spoken, Natural went against their wishes and continued to communicate with them. The family already received judgement and strange looks from peers and strangers for having a child that scarcely resembled them, but it was only made worse with Natural speaking to animals. Deeming their son an abomination, the parents decided to abandon young Natural one night in the forest while he slept.When Natural awoke the next morning, he flew into a fit of panic. As he ran around in circles, calling for his mom and dad, he grabbed the attention of a nearby owl who had been in the area that night. The avian told the boy to go find another home, for he had witnessed his parents willingly leaving without their child in the dead of night. Whatā€™s more, they left a trail of meat behind; perhaps for a hungry predator to be led to him. Natural refused to believe such a thing and began following the very trail his family left behind until he almost literally bumped into a wolf following the same trail.Natural questioned the beast, explaining in the process that he woke to missing parents and the trail of meat was his only clue to their whereabouts. The canine assumed this was the same pair of Elezen who caught the attention of their scouts after they tossed the same meat towards their den in the middle of the night. Apparently, the wolf was following the trail alone to see if it led to a trap or a feast. He realized then that the ā€œfeastā€ at the end was the boy. The child didnā€™t want to believe it was so, but it made sense that a family who would disown their own son would go to such measures to see he can never be found again.Unbeknownst to the wolf, several members of his pack, including the alpha, had followed a distance away to ensure his safety. After a brief exchange regarding the strange child, the alpha decided to take the boy in as a member of their pack; partially to give the boy a home, and also to aid his grieving mate who had recently lost their pups to Ixal. In time, he was no longer a child of the Elezen, but a child of the wood instead. Various creatures kept him fed, warm, and sheltered for the next eight summers. One creature among them was a lonely Mandragora that Natural had named ā€œLeafyā€ who was also abandoned by his family due to his curiosity of Spoken.The boy spent most of his childhood in that forest. The creatures steered him away from towns and other Elezen if he wandered too close. Thanks to them, he learned to fend for himself; eventually keeping his nails long and sharp like claws and sharpening his adult teeth as they grew in. However, without guidance from anyone like him, such an upbringing made him a wild child- he could not speak the tongue of the Spoken very well, he stopped walking on two legs, shed his clothing once it became damaged and too small to fit, and he knew nothing of etiquette or morals.It was one fateful day into his 14th summer that the young Elezen found something he hadnā€™t seen in years- someone like him. Another Duskwight, an older man, wandered around a clearing deep in the boy's home. As for Natural, he knew the creatures feared men like him, so he kept a distance in the bushes. From his robes, the man withdrew an old grimoire. With quill in hand, he began to write. Lights of different shapes and colors surrounded the strange man, swirling about more gracefully than fireflies. Then from the very air itself, an odd animal suddenly appeared! It was unlike anything the boy had seen before; a glowing, blue, four-legged animal with long ears and a tail that split into three ends stood before the man. Throwing his previous caution to the wind, the young Elezen dashed for the glowing creature, despite protests from Leafy.Ignoring the strangerā€™s line of questions, the young man crouched before the animal to pet and converse with it. Much to its owner's disdain, the animal nuzzled up to the boy while ignoring all commands to scare him off. Then just as it appeared, the animal was gone again in a dazzling light. The boy knelt upright, looking all around him. Where did it go?The strange man continued to question Natural, but he simply ignored him. Obviously, the child was unfamiliar with his own tongue after not speaking it for so long and the man realized this soon enough. Concluding that he must have been abandoned or lost from an even younger age, he decided to leave. Something about that man imprinted on the child that day. Was it because he was a man just like him? He did not know- he simply followed until they reached a Duskwight settlement deep within a complex system of caves.The man, known by the alias ā€œHarmoniaā€, was immediately bombarded with questions from his peers; questions he couldn't begin to answer. As much as he wanted to pass the child off to someone else, the boy clung to the now-familiar man when the others surrounded him. There was much discussion happening around him, but there was so much being said that he couldn't understand them. However, there was a hush among the crowd when the boy was finally asked his name. Natural struggled to remember; he couldnā€™t remember his real name at all, but he tried. Because communicating with beasts doesnā€™t require Natural to use his physical voice, he could only stammer out what sounded like ā€œNaturalā€. Since the boy clearly hadnā€™t been cared for by his own kind in who-knows-how-long, the Duskwight group took he and Leafy in.Though he was quiet for several days, he did slowly warm up to his new ā€œfamilyā€. Some of the members took a quick liking to him, while others were put off by his ghastly pale appearance, unblinking eyes, and strange behavior. Those who did like him gladly told Natural of their group. They were known as the Redbelly Wasps; a gang of thieves and mercenaries who were trying to make a name for themselves in the Shroud. Despite being taken in by such a questionable group, Natural didnā€™t seem to oppose what they do, and the higher-ups informed him that once he seems fully competent that theyā€™ll find some use for him within their numbers.Harmonia, on the other hand, started thinking of a grander scheme for their newest member. Since it did not take long for Natural to become re-accustomed to civilized life, he believed the child must have some inkling of intelligence. Whatā€™s more, he seemed to be able to communicate with his Carbuncle- a skill that might come in handy someday. He taught Natural to read and write; something the young man caught on to quicker than Harmonia had anticipated, and even began to teach him the basics of an Arcanist. In almost no time, Natural became perfectly literate. As for his communication with the wild, he decided to keep that to himself (and of course, to Harmonia; who had already seen this gift in person) as not to repeat history.During that year, Harmonia taught Natural much about mathematics, literature, history, and a fairly new phenomenon; primals. Apparently, Beast Tribes throughout Eorzea were beginning to summon the godlike creatures to do their bidding. Harmonia, having studied a bit in Allagan summoning, wanted to see if Natural was capable of talking to and befriending a primal. Though he presented his ideals in a way that would make Natural a hero for saving the primals from the cruel grasp of the Beast Men who wanted to use their power for slavery and destruction, he actually intended to use the primals for his own benefit and power. Until the moment could present itself to test that theory, Natural did random jobs for the Redbellies that mainly involved posing as a lost child (a girl, most of the time) to acquire gil from generous passers-by.Eventually, Harmoniaā€™s chance to test his theory finally came; a group of Ixal had summoned the primal Garuda. While the Wasps took cover in the storm, Harmonia and Natural headed straight for the eye to confront the Lady of the Vortex.Unfortunately, Harmoniaā€™s plan was doomed to fail. Once confronted, Garuda simply laughed off the boyā€™s attempts at friendship. The primal was far more intelligent than Harmonia had anticipated. Without hesitation, she attacked the duo- leaving Natural with rather serious gashes on his body. As for Harmonia, he did not last long before the primal tempered him. The man whom Natural saw as a father began to attack him while singing praises of Garuda and deeming the boy a ā€œfailureā€ and a ā€œfreakā€ who belonged in the wild. Thankfully, Leafy got a good attack on the older Elezen and successfully disarmed him. Natural scooped up the dropped grimoire and ran as fast as he could. It is unknown what happened to Harmonia and Garuda after that, but peace was eventually mysteriously restored to the woods.When Natural got somewhere safe, he absently thumbed through Harmoniaā€™s grimoire as he pondered the manā€™s fate. One page ended up catching his eye as it contained several hand-written notes detailing the use of Naturalā€™s gift for his own gain. Betrayal mixed with the young manā€™s grief. For the first time in years, Natural felt utterly heartbroken.After the second betrayal of his own kind, Natural felt uneasy at the thought of returning to the Redbellies. Instead, he went back to the forest with Leafy to fend for himself. Even though he fully intended to mend his criminal ways, Natural still pickpocketed from easy targets from time to time. One man in particular became a nightly target due to his habit of going to sleep fairly early in the evening. Unfortunately, the man caught on to his things being missing and feigned sleep one night, catching Natural when his guard was down.The man had the young Elezen on the ground, lashing at him with a knife. The boy was no stranger to people trying to harm him when he was caught stealing, but this man seemed intent on killing him. Luckily, the boy struggled enough so he wouldnā€™t suffer a vital wound to his throat, but the incident did leave him with numerous scars on his chest and hands. The next thing Natural remembered was losing consciousness and suddenly waking up with the man dead at his feet. Unbeknownst to him at the time, this moment was the awakening of his Dark Side. Natural was thrown into a state of panic- he didnā€™t know whether he should hide the body, make the wounds look like a creature attack, or simply run. Voices began to echo from the brush, prompting Natural to run and hide. It turns out the man was a husband and father to a girl appearing several years younger than himself. Devastated at not only killing a man, but also tearing a family apart, he fled.That was the day he left the South Shroud. Natural ran and ran until he reached the very edge of the Twelveswood. A new land seemed to wait on the other side, but he was still too afraid to leave his forest home. A small cave ended up sheltering him, and a nearby town offered him trading and job opportunities. The idea of going into such a society intimidated him after all the prejudice his family went through in his youth, but the residents didnā€™t bother him much (perhaps due to his light complexion that could easily be mistaken for a Wildwoodā€™s). He would spend the next six years doing small odd jobs in the town, reading the archives in the library, and sleeping in his cave at night.The only eventful moment in that six years happened around age 16- the Calamity. Though he was ignorant as to what exactly was going on, he remembered seeing the red moon descend slowly as the nights went on and eventually come crashing down. Thankfully, he seemed to be far enough away from the point of impact that he wasnā€™t put immediately in harmā€™s way. However, over time the creatures of the Twelveswood grew to be extremely feral, and living out in the wilderness became increasingly difficult. About three years after the calamity, he ended up sleeping on the streets of the town since it was safer.At age 21, the Elezenā€™s life would finally turn around for the better. While reading through the townā€™s archives, he learned of an interesting place in a faraway land- Sharlayan. Apparently, the country was full of scholars and contained a prestigious school. He remembered long ago when Harmonia told him he was gifted with great intelligence- why not extend this knowledge further and put his mind to good use? His mind was made up. Natural worked hard around the town and saved all the gil he could for a ship that would take him to Sharlayan.Over time, he made enough gil and made the long journey to a town with a ship that would take him where he needed to go. However, fate had other plans for the Elezen and his Mandragora companion. While he did indeed end up on the correct ship, the excitement and hard work that took him that far had finally gotten the best of him and he fell into a deep slumber.Spaceā€¦ a familiar voiceā€¦ a shadowy, masked figureā€¦ a ball of lightā€¦ He seemed to be fighting the masked figure with a grimoire in his hand- except he was no Arcanist, but a Summoner instead. The two clashed, but the victor is unknown.

[Hearā€¦ Feel... Think...]One of the sailors had woken him up eventually, and he found himself in a room with just the sailor and two young Elezen twins. A brief discussion with the sailor revealed that the ship was now bound for Limsa Lominsa. While the man spoke to him, Natural scoured his mind, trying to think of a way to get to his desired destination. Perhaps he could try to earn his money back Limsa and do this again? The man assumed he was some sort of ā€œadventurerā€- maybe he could give that career a go.When the ship reached her destination, Natural was greeted with a most beautiful sight. It was the largest city heā€™d ever seen- surrounded endlessly by gorgeous blue water. Everything was so foreign to him- the sights, the people, the salty aromaā€¦ it was horrifying and exciting all at the same time. As per the sailorā€™s suggestion, Natural visited the adventurerā€™s guild. Apparently, this city also had a teacher that could train him as an Arcanist- just like Harmonia before him. The more he thought about it, the more he wondered if Sharlayan is truly worth the effort.There was a strong feeling that persisted in his mind that he was exactly where he needed to be. Maybe travelling to a new land, learning the art that Harmonia sought to teach him long ago, and helping those in need was exactly what he needed to start his life over.

Biography
Charon possesses a special gift that allows him to hear the hearts and desires of the dead. He uses this gift to help the deceased who lost their way to the Underworld to find peace by fulfilling any unfinished business they might have. However, Charon cannot usher these souls to the Underworld himself, so he eventually sought out a man named Hades to aid him in this endeavor. In his forest home, he was known as Theodore. His familyā€™s circumstances were rather unique by Viera standards; his mother hailed from the village in which he was born, but his father was a wanderer- a stranger. The man was very adept in magic; a talent the likes his home had never seen before. He took to traveling the land and taking on pupils to share what he knows of magic to ensure future generations can wield the powers safely. It was typical of him to remain in an area for no more than three years, but things changed when he arrived at a certain village. He fell in love.The family lived in a modest cottage at the edge of the village. Theodoreā€™s mother stayed in the home to exclusively care for her child until he was old enough to be a bit more independent; then she would spend her days guarding the village and return home at night. By their customs, his father would only be allowed into the village during mating season, but he came to their home almost every night to spend time with his child and his love. In time, he would teach Theodore all he knows about magic to carry on his legacy.Theodore inherited his fatherā€™s talents and picked up on destructive magic rather quickly, however, he struggled with mastering healing magic. For many, many years, he received special lessons from his father and excelled the older he got, but healing remained lost on him no matter what he tried. Stil, his father remained supportive and patient no matter what and the two ended up having a very close relationship. Theodoreā€™s father always told him stories of his adventures out in the world and what sorts of things lie beyond their forest home. One night, he said this to Theodore: ā€œThe world is a beautiful place. Your home is gorgeous beyond words, but it is a waste not to see what lies beyond. When the day comes that you master healing, I want to show you the world. If youā€™ll accept me.ā€After many years, Theodoreā€™s family would soon welcome their second child. However, his mother became ill during the pregnancy and needed to be on bed rest most days. When her due date approached, something went wrong that required medical intervention. Being the only one in the house and too far away from the village to get help in time, Theodore desperately tried to save her with healing magic, but for naught. He rushed out of the home, calling for his father; but by the time they returned, it was too late. Though his mother did not live to see the next day, his father managed to save their child.Ever since that day, something strange started happening to Theodore. A mysterious voice began speaking to him from the shadows, blaming him for his motherā€™s death and ridiculing him for his lack of talent in the healing arts. Though he would sadly never learn the truth in his life, it was the voice of the Ascian Igeyohrm, enacting her plan to drive the shard of Azem to madness to ensure he would not interfere with their plans of rejoining the shards. Though Theodore did his best to ignore the voice and tell her sheā€™s wrong, her voice continued to reach him from time to time and would take a drastic toll on his mental health.Without their mother, and because of his fatherā€™s duties to teach his magic and protect the forest, it was up to Theodore to raise his little sibling, Cecil. Sometimes when they were alone in the house, he would hear the voice telling Theodore the baby was cursed and doomed to bring misfortune upon his home. Time and time again, she would encourage him to kill the child, but he fought the voice, despite the fact that a part of him felt like what she said may have been true, considering his birth did bring about the death of his mother. A few months after Cecilā€™s birth, a terrifying creature ripped through the forest, and though it was slain, their father would not live to tell the tale. In his grief, the voice rang out ever louder, reminding Theodore that his sibling was a curse and needed to be destroyed. Holding the baby in his arms, he took a knife in hand, ready to enact vengeance on his fallen parents, but he managed to snap himself out of it just before going through with the heinous act. Deeming himself too dangerous to be around his own sibling, he instead ran away from home.Though Theodore had hoped getting away from his home would help him escape from the voice, she still persistently followed him, now mocking him for leaving his village to their fate at the hands of a cursed child. She called him evil, and told him that if he should adopt a new name as other runaway Viera do, he should consider something that sounds wicked; something like Golbez. The voice found humor in this, and called him by that name from then on. He wandered for many years, surviving off the landā€™s bounty. All this time, the voice persistently continued her mission to drive him insane, and it was starting to work.As the years went on, the voice continued to get more and more dangerous, eventually trying to talk him into performing acts of self-harm and suicide as penance for abandoning his villiage and failing to avenge his parents. Then, one day, as he traveled down a paved road, the echoes of ā€œkill yourselfā€ persisted no matter how hard he tried to tune it out. It was winter; he was tired, cold, and hungry. He wondered why he was even still out there continuing to live. There was no home for him to return to, no purpose to be found in life. He had no family, no friends, no alliesā€¦ just him and the voice. Finally, he took a blade in his hand and hovered it over his heart. The voice cheered him on, telling him he was doing the right thing and he would finally find his peace in death, but as he plunged the blade down, he instead drove it into his eye, screaming for the voice to be gone. After pulling it out, all was silent. He continued down the road for a bit before he lost too much blood and fainted.When he woke up, he was in a warm bed inside of an unknown building and accompanied by a young man. The stranger was glad to see him wake up and introduced himself as Durante. In turn, the Viera would introduce himself as Golbez, forever abandoning the name he used back home. Durante explained that he found Golbez bleeding out on the side of the road and brought him back to his home kingdom, Baron, to be cared for in an infirmary. Though the healers were able to mend the wound and repair his eye, he would likely never see out of it again. He was then bombarded with all manner of questions of who he was, what he was, and where he came from and heard all about the rarity of his kind in that part of the world and that Durante thought Viera were some sort of faerie tale.Eventually, a commotion outside caught their attention. Some sort of powerful beast was attacking just outside the kingdom, and it was taking the bulk of Baronā€™s soldiers to fight it back. Golbez was suddenly spurred into action and leapt out of the infirmary bed taking his staff in hand and with Durante chasing after him. Long after that day, he never understood what drove him to act in that moment; whether it was to return the debt to the person who took him in, or to prevent another disaster that killed his father, or if it was simply just some sort of instinct deep inside with no sort of ulterior motive. Once outside the gates, Golbez made quick work of the horrifying monster with his magic, drawing the attention and praises of all who bore witness- especially Durante.Having nowhere else to go, Golbez decided to stay in Baron with Durante. The two ended up becoming the best of friends, with Durante looking up to Golbez as a hero and inspiration to further his own strength. Together, they enlisted as knights and quickly rose the ranks as their friendly rivalry made them both incredibly strong, and their powerful bond ensured each otherā€™s survival in the face of the toughest challenges that were thrown at them. Over the years, their friendship would eventually evolve into love with the two vowing they would be inseparable until the end of their days. As for the voice, she seldom spoke to Golbez ever since he became close to Durante. Though she would sometimes be heard whenever he was alone, he had a much better time tuning her out compared to when he was younger.Unfortunately, their golden years would be short-lived. A terrible conflict known as the Contramemoria broke out, and the world would soon be thrown into chaos. Men and women with strange powers were on the attack, powerful monsters began to appear, and others would see themselves transformed. As darkness quickly engulfed the land, Golbez and Durante would soon discover that they only had each other left in the world that would sooner pit brother against brother than seek alliances with those who still clung to the light.One fateful day when the pair returned home after several days of being out in the field, they were horrified to discover Baron under attack by a dark memoriate. They fought tirelessly to pursue the one responsible, and shortly before Baronā€™s attacker breathed his last, he corrupted Golbez with a dark memoria crystal. Durante was left to contend with two choices: allowing his dearest companion to live as a monster who would, no doubt, raze the remains of Baron and perhaps even the world to the ground, or to slay him right then and there. Despite his breaking heart, Durante knew Golbez would not wish to bring harm upon innocent people and slay the man himself, imprisoning his essence within a memoria crystal.From that day on, Durante donned his late loverā€™s armor and continued his pursuit towards a better tomorrow in his name.

Biography

Being of the Iriq tribe, he is the son of a Borlaaq woman who abandoned him within his first winter and taken in by the former tribe. Ever since he was young, Khalja loved to fight- the more challenging the opponent, the better. Back in Othard, he and several of his clanmates made their living as hunters. In the event of an invasion from another Xaela tribe, Khalja was often one of the first to step in and defend his home with great brutality. The challenging battles and undying love for fighting made him into a fearless, worthy fighter. However, beyond his cold exterior beats the heart of a man who adores all things cute.When the Garlean Empire invaded Othard, Khalja was out hunting when a nearby settlement was razed. The threat of invasion scared most of his clanmates into fleeing to foreign lands, with many of the elders and loyal members staying behind. When it became obvious that the Garleans wouldnā€™t be invading the Azim Steppe, Khalja and several of his fellow clanmates decided to travel the vast lands of the Steppe in search of the Iriq who fled to urge them to return home. It wasn't until the last Naadam that he was able to expand his horizons further. A group of foreigners who participated at the behest of the Mol tribe reigned victorious. He approached the new Khan and begged to be allowed to travel alongside them when they returned home so he could seek out his missing clanmates, and in exchange he'd happily be their blade should they ever have need of his strength. It was one of the Warriors of Light, Natural, who whole-heartedly agreed to accepted the offer.Khalja currently resides in Mist with the rest of Natural's Free Company and occasionally accompanies him whenever he is in need of a Warrior. Biography

Like most Veena, Ravenā€™s home was within the forests lining the Skatay Range. As war erupted around their land courtesy of the rising Garlean Empire, one-by-one, the once-secluded people started to flee for Eorzea in order to seek sanctuary. When Ravenā€™s dearest friends discussed the idea of following suit, the group of five agreed to leave together.The migration into Eorzea went smoothly, until the group found their way to Thanalan. After returning from a supply run for the evening, Raven was met with the horrific sight of her friends at the mercy of dozens of robed and masked men. One already lay dead, another was murdered before her very eyes, and the rest dealt with far worse. Having very little combat experience herself and being far outnumbered, her instincts drove her to flee before she was discovered. Sadly, by the time she found an authoritative figure in patrolling Brass Blades, her friends and the men who took them were gone without a trace. The Blades suspect the Alacran responsible for the act, but could not say for certain without solid evidence.After the incident, Raven became a shell of her former self. She was left alone in this new world with no home to return to and nobody to keep her company. After a time, she began to hear whispers from an unfamiliar voice that seemed to pull her along a path. Having nothing to lose, she followed the voice and was led all the way to the Holy See of Ishgard. It was there that she met a mysterious figure named Fray, and a series of events with him led her to acquiring a Dark Knight Soul Stone. Thanks to guidance from her own Dark Side and fellow Dark Knight Sidurgu, she trained in the dark arts to become a defender; both to someday avenge her fallen friends, and to protect anyone else ever in need of aid.---Though she thankfully found her way to Ishgard after the end of the Dragonsong War, she still managed to sometimes provoke the ire of Temple Knights who distrusted the obvious foreigner wielding a greatsword. During one such incident, she was found by Warrior of Light, Natural Harmonia. From the shadows, he whispered his intentions to the Viera so only she could hear, then approached her, acting as one of her friends. Because the knights knew him as the warrior who helped end their country's war, they quickly fled and apologized for the inconvenience.After the duo properly introduced themselves, Natural asked Raven if she had any siblings. She explained that such a thing would technically be possible if they shared a father, but she didn't know for certain if she had any. The Elezen informed her that he is acquainted with a Viera man who looks quite similar to her and even shares the same surname. Natural offered her a chance to meet him, as well as an invitation to the Free Company they were a part of. She accepted both; hoping that being a part of his Free Company could give her the opportunity to repay her debt for helping her out of the mess she was in and speaking to the Lord Commander to offer an ounce of immunity while she was in the city.Eventually, she was able to meet her half-brother Succubus at the Free Company's mansion. Though she didn't know what to expect of him, she found the man rather strange and had trouble ascertaining his intentions anytime they spoke. For now, she is on good terms with him, but keeps a respectable distance.

Ocean Eyes hails from a modest little farm seemingly out in the middle of nowhere in Gyr Abania's Peaks. Her mother inherited the family's griffin farm and bred the beasts as reliable mounts. Her father, meanwhile, was a dedicated Monk of the Fists of Rhalgr. As part of his personal training, he'd jog several malms to Rhalgr's Reach to meditate and spar with fellow Monks at the Temple of the Fist. Occasionally, he'd bring Ocean along, usually carrying her on his shoulders or in his arms. For as long as she can remember, she always looked up to her father as a hero and longed to be a Monk just like him.Unfortunately, one tragedy after another struck their homeland with the Mad King's decimation of the Fists of Rhalgr (Ocean's father was, by a blessing, too ill to make his usual journey to the temple the day of the raid) and eventual Garlean occupation. Unbeknownst to Ocean until a little after her fifth year, her father began training in secret in the dead of night, still doing his usual run to the Temple under the cover of darkness. One night, she snuck into her father's satchel of provisions and went undetected until he arrived at his destination. Needless to say, she got in big trouble and was told she wouldn't be allowed to come along with him again until she was older.Once her father finished meditating for the night, he decided to take Ocean straight home, but neither of them were prepared for the tragic scene that awaited them. A raging inferno engulfed their farm with nary a living thing in sight; including the griffins and Ocean's dear mother. A pair of Imperial soldiers informed her father that a skirmish with rebels had broken out nearby and their home was accidentally caught up in the cross-fire. They would later learn from an old highlander woman who lived nearby that the incident was no accident at all and that the soldiers were likely responsible.Some time after her mother's death, Ocean's father loaded up his daughter and a modest sack of belongings onto a carriage with other refugees bound for Ul'dah. Though Ocean expected her father to come along, he instead bid her farewell as the carriage took off. Little did she know at the time, the destruction of their home and death of his wife radicalized Ocean's father and he decided it was time to join the resistance.Ocean ended up in Little Ala Mhigo with a number of refugees like herself. She spent the remainder of her childhood and teen years training with the other youths and surrounding beasts so she could someday become strong enough to join the resistance herself. Biography

Succubus' life started as normally as any Viera in the village of Isshu. Children lived in the village with their mothers and sisters while their fathers and brothers dwelled deeper into the Wood, keeping everyone safe from harm. Succubus was always a rather introverted child, preferring the company of books over other children his age. He discovered early on that he had quite the talent for the magical arts so he studied and practiced every day. During that time, he was far more happy, far more stable. Though most Viera live out their days thinking little and less of their destinies after their thirteenth nameday, Succubus always hoped he'd be female so he could continue his happy little life in the village reading his books and practicing his magic.Then, during the years of his adolescence when his gender became apparent, he was loathe to discover he is, in fact, a male. It was his own father who would eventually return home for the tri-annual mating season that would bring him into the forest to learn the ways of the Wood-warder. From the day they met, Succubus met every command, every instruction with great resistance. He hoped his rebellion would frustrate his father enough to send him back home or banish him to the outside world, but unfortunately, he would quickly learn where his stubbornness came from.Throughout the next decade or so, his father watched Succubus like a hawk as he endured one brutal training regiment after the next. More than once he was reminded that it was not uncommon for young Viera to die during this rite of passage, and that would be his only escape from his fate. Unhappy though he may have been, he continued to pass trial after trial until he was finally deemed ready to be allowed to live on his own.During the brutal years of training, Succubus came up with the idea of sneaking out of the Wood once he was able to win his freedom, but unfortunately, his father had other plans. Traditionally, Viera men live in complete solitude and do not rely on help from others, rarely ever crossing paths; and yet every single time Succubus came close to the borders of their home, his father would be right there to knock him unconscious and (quite literally) drag him back in. He would spend the next couple of decades playing this little game of cat-and-mouse with his father, but that wasn't the only thing he was up to.One evening, he crossed paths with a strange creature that called itself a Gremlin. It was through the Gremlin that he learned of voidsent and the world they come from. He remembered reading a little about them back home, but everything about the creatures always seemed to be shrouded in mystery. Succubus became fascinated by the voidsent and spent his days and nights learning how to summon them and communicate with them. Of course, most rituals and summonings required some sort of sacrifice, be it man or animal. In his bitterness towards his fate as a Viera man, he started killing not only intruders, but also the women of his village that sought to leave the Wood for independent lives in the wider world. Most of the time, their bodies were utilized for summoning Succubi for him to use for temporary relief of loneliness (though it meant little to him should the rituals ever fail).Unfortunately, the combination of suffocating solitude and extended voidsent contact would contribute to his horrifically deteriorating mental health. The sounds of disembodied voices became more commonplace for him and he grew increasingly apathetic towards everything and everyone around him. During his 31st winter, after several years of not attempting an escape, he crossed paths with his father who spoke to him of a troubling rumor of strange monsters roaming the Wood and killing their women. As he tried to play dumb, he could hear voices telling him he needed to kill his father in order to be free of the Wood's fetters.It wasn't until a few days later when he would try his first escape attempt in years that he finally got the chance. As per usual, his father was right there ready to take him back, but Succubus would not be taken unawares that time. He fought his father as deafening voices demanded "Kill him! Kill him and rip our freedom from his lifeless corpse!" until he at last managed to burn the man into a smoldering heap. As a reward for finally destroying that which withheld his freedom, the creatures of the void gifted him with new assets; sharpened teeth and claws, pointed horns, a dark horse to serve as his mount, and once-silver hair dyed black just like his father's (both to welcome him to the dark, and to subtly punish him every time he looked in the mirror, reminding him of what he had to do to achieve his dream).Now free of his duty as a Wood warder, he would spend the next two decades wandering the lands of Ilsabard until the fires and noise of war became too much for him to deal with. Succubus eventually made the pilgrimage to Eorzea, figuring that if the Empire couldn't claim it after so many years, that it must have been safer than where he came from. Ironically, he found himself drawn to the Twelveswood and chose to wander on the outskirts of society alongside the Moon Keepers and Duskwights.A memorable moment during his first years in the Twelveswood was during one of his journeys when he stumbled across an Elezen girl of roughly sixteen summers. She sorrowfully explained that she was separated from her parents during their travels and she needed gil for a chocobo porter home. Completely transfixed by her soulless eyes and unsettling beauty, he offered her some gil without another word. After he went on his way he stopped after several malms and realized he could have easily stolen the girl and made her his own, but by the time he went back for her, she was already gone.Almost a decade later, Succubus joined a small group of adventurers on a mission into the Tam-Tara Deepcroft, hoping to learn all he could about whatever dark magicks were happening down below. One adventurer among them was a young Elezen man of a little over twenty summers who looked terribly familiar. It wasn't until after the mission was completed and he joined the group in relaxing at the Carline Canopy that he realized the young man, Natural Harmonia, very much resembled the girl he encountered all those years ago. Natural pulled him aside from his friends and explained that he actually was that girl in disguise and apologized for the deception back then. Apparently, he was living with a group of Duskwight bandits at the time and that was the primary way he earned his keep.Now reunited with the mysterious beauty from the South Shroud, Succubus finds himself seeking out the Elezen every chance he gets, almost obsessively. He cannot explain his magnetic attraction to the man, all he knows is that he likes him enough to want to be near him and keep any harm away from him.Even more miraculously, after the end of the Dragonsong War, that selfsame Elezen would find someone very unexpected: Succubus' younger half-sister, Raven. Immediately, he could see his father's resemblance in her and a part of him felt as if he was reincarnated in some way just to torment him from the beyond. Biography

Sakyo grew up with his mother, father, and little sister in a small Yanxian village just outside of Doma. For as long as he could remember, the people of his village constantly trained in secret for the day they'd rise up against the Garlean Empire that occupied his home. Sakyo took up the axe and trained day and night with his two best friends Kou, a shinobi who's family passes down the art from generation to generation, and Kagome, a girl born from a Garlean father who now wields the blade courtesy of her late mother's husband.One day, the village thought they finally found their opportunity for an uprising when one of the Galvus descendants paid a visit to the country. Unfortunately, they hadn't anticipated the then-unbeknownst future prince would be as powerful as he was.
